Oversee the implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and practices, including the development and maintenance of job descriptions for all staff.
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal company policies.
- Establish and maintain a positive, healthy, and safe work environment in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection, particularly for non-executive roles.
- Handle employee disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure proper onboarding and orientation for all new hires, including mandatory trainings (e.g., food safety-related training).
- Develop and implement training plans, and maintain accurate training records.
- Lead talent development initiatives to support employee growth and organizational objectives.
- Supervise and manage HR executives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Prepare and manage HR documentation, including employment letters, staff movement records, attendance, leave, and compensation.
- Oversee full-spectrum payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments and statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB).
- Liaise with statutory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports and payments.
- Report to the Food Safety Team Leader on issues related to typhoid vaccination and visitor control.
- Coordinate new joiners’ workstation setup with necessary office equipment.
- Manage overall office administration effectively.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior or designated personnel.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, with strong exposure to payroll, statutory compliance, and people management.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, PCB).
- Proven experience in handling HR compliance, audits, and regulatory matters.
- Hands-on experience in full-spectrum payroll processing, including statutory submissions.
- Familiarity with HR2000 iPayroll system will be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage a team and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to handle confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking employees.
