Operations Executive/ Assistant

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive and grounded Purchasing & Operations Executive/ Assistant to join our dedicated team at Public Crane Heavy Equipment (PCHE). This role requires a physically active, responsible and stern character who can handle day-to-day operational matters on-site while supporting the purchasing department efficiently.
Ideal candidates are assertive, committed and possess strong coordination skills.
- Operational Duties
- Apply and follow up on Port Pass Applications for drivers and vehicles.
- Liaise with site and port authorities for vehicle access and entry arrangements.
- Prepare and follow up on GDN (Goods Delivery Notes).
- Manage data entry for Packing Lists, inbound/outbound materials and movement records.
- Vehicle & Driver Coordination
- Arrange PUSPAKOM inspection bookings and ensure compliance.
- Plan and allocate drivers for daily transport requirements.
- Ensure inspection documents, licenses and road tax renewals are handled properly.
- Coordinate vehicle usage and assist with fleet availability planning.
- Operational Admin Support
- Assist the operation team on daily execution of site tasks.
- Perform on-ground checks, document verifications and ensure SOP compliance.
- Coordinate between departments for smooth delivery and dispatch operations.
- Any other special project and task to support the growth of the company as and when required.
- Purchasing Support
- Assist in preparing and issuing Purchase Orders (POs).
- Source quotations and perform price comparisons.
- Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules and confirmations.
- Maintain and update purchasing records, inventory logs and cost tracking.
- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Business Admin, Logistics or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in operations/logistics/transportation/purchasing arena.
- Physically active – willing to be on the ground when needed.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Good command and proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English (Mandarin is an added advantage).
- Must be disciplined, assertive and not too soft-spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and basic data systems. Candidates will be tested for their proficiency during the interview.
- Must be willing to commute and work at Port Klang, Selangor.
