Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Japanese or Teppanyaki dining concepts.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or Sous Chef role is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards and recipes.
- Supervise, guide, and train kitchen team members to maintain consistency and productivity.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
- Support inventory management, stock ordering, and cost control to minimize wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
- Handle kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal promotions.
- Maintain a positive and professional working environment within the kitchen team.
