About Fromage
Fromage is a new specialty food and cheese store opening at Bangsar Shopping Center in Kuala Lumpur.
The shop is designed as a high-quality retail experience, not a supermarket counter:

We are building a small team that will run the store day to day and set the standard from the start.
The Role
As Store Operations & Customer Experience Lead, you will play a key role in:
- daily store operations
- customer service standards
- execution on the shop floor
This is a hands-on role with responsibility, suited for someone who wants to strengthen their experience in retail operations and customer-facing roles.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Explain products clearly and make recommendations
- Handle customer enquiries and feedback
- Maintain a consistent service standard in-store
- Operate POS and handle payments
- Prepare, slice, pack and label products correctly
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance
- Maintain visual standards of the shop and displays
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Assist with stock receiving and basic inventory tracking
- Identify and report operational issues
- Follow and help improve store procedures (SOPs)
- Hands-on experience in store operations
- Exposure to specialty retail and food handling
- Customer experience and service leadership
- Opportunity to grow into senior store or supervisory roles
- Experience launching and running a new store from day one
- Experience in retail, F&B, hospitality, or customer-facing roles
- Comfortable taking responsibility on the shop floor
- Good communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or Tamil is a plus)
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and organised
- Able to work retail hours, including weekends
Cheese or specialty food knowledge is not required, training will be provided.
