Software Quality Assurance Engineer (QA)

This role offers you the chance to immerse yourself in a diverse technology landscape, working across web and mobile applications, business intelligence reports, dashboards, and infrastructure projects.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with internal teams including developers, business intelligence specialists, infrastructure professionals, project managers, and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive product acceptance criteria, test plans, and test cases.
• Design effective testing strategies by planning how testing will be conducted across multiple platforms, determining types of tests required, setting priorities, defining scope, and selecting appropriate methods.
• Create detailed functional and non-functional user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, diagrams, test plans, and test cases for both web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases for core business processes while resolving issues promptly when test case execution fails or defects are identified.
• Embed automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline by assisting with the setup of canary releases and rollbacks to ensure seamless deployment cycles.
• Manually execute functional and non-functional tests against defined acceptance criteria to validate new products, features, changes or bug fixes before release.
• Accurately document all discovered defects during the testing process; assist developers in reproducing issues; categorise problems; summarise findings in clear test reports.
• Produce documentation outlining testing standards and guidance materials aimed at helping team members improve their own testing skills.
• Coordinate quality assurance activities with development teams as well as BI/Infra groups; organise regular QA advocacy sessions to promote best practices throughout the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant management system policies by participating in HSEQ training initiatives; report any detected process nonconformities or hazards promptly.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT or related field
• Strong grasp of functional and non-functional testing (unit, integration, system, regression, performance, security, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile practices, especially using Azure DevOps Boards.
• Experience designing and executing detailed test cases (manual and automated), with thorough documentation.
• Skilled in developing automation scripts and troubleshooting test failures.
• Capable of producing clear testing guidelines to support team development.
