Quality Assurance Engineer
Nature and aim of the position
Quality Assurance (QA) Testers are in charge of testing GB POS/ATM/EComm/ PMS/Hotel/ F&B/ Retail hardware/software/ Host code/ Scheme mandates and determining if it meets client and industry specifications or requirements.
PRIORITY GIVEN TO- Schema L3 certification experience
- Testing CNP integrated terminals/ systems with SoapUI or Postman
- Thorough validation skills using knowledge and experience of financial transaction flows
- Comfortable with integrated testing tools like BDD, Testrail and Cloud tools
- Can create scripts, test cases and sign-off material from given projects, releases and mini-projects.
- Can work/manage multiple projects AND prioritise project tasks based on collaboration
PRIORITY GIVEN TO SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCE WITH
API Testing- Tools: SoapUI, Postman
- Java, JavaScript, Groovy script
- SQL queries for data validation - MsSQL, Oracle DB
- JIRA, Confluence Page
- Selenium, IntelliJ, Sourcetree, Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, Maven, JUnit and TestNG
- Agile Methodology
- Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
- Testing: Performance, Load, Regression, Functional, Integration, UI
- Platforms: API, Mobile, Web, Linux, Terminal
o Knowledge and experience of creating and running test cases
o POS/ ATM / Ecommerce experience
o Knowledge of AS2805 and ISO 8583
o Excellent knowledge of financial transactions and messages
o Good knowledge of EMV and contactless
Main duties and responsibilities
o Work closely with developers, business stakeholders and act as an integral part of the CS development team using iterative development process
o Work with development teams to create test plans for enhancements and fixes on applications
o Work as a part of team to perform manual/automated functional, regression and performance testing on Data Invariant Layer projecto Work as part of a team to perform manual / automated functional, regression and performance testing on all Utility Technology systems and projects
o Help manage, develop, and improve processes and procedures within the department
o Manages work to work plans for components on engagements
o Provide a positive role model, in terms of both work performance and attitude
Main KPI’s
o How many requirements are addressed directly and indirectly in testing?o What are the targets set for the defects fixed per day/ per version/ per sprint?
o How many test cases have been completed? – Daily/ weekly/ per project iteration/ per version build
o How many Active Defects are there? – Defect management need to ensure that critical and major defects are fixed asap to not block any development.o Finalization of Development – Completion of the project depends on updated Test Cases, Release notes and the completion of all handover documentation. This also includes updated project specs and notes. It also relies on End User feedback from the Implementation team to the site managers and cardholders.
