Senior Accounts Executive / Accountant

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant accounting experience
- Able to handle full set of accounts independently
- Experience in construction industry accounting (progress billing, retention sum, project costing)
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficient in accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, UBS, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail
- Ability to supervise junior staff and work independently
- Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts
- Perform month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, budgets, and financial performance
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and relevant authorities
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements (LHDN, SST, EPF, SOCSO)
- Improve and implement accounting processes, internal controls, and systems
- Handle project costing, progress claims, and subcontractor payments (for construction)
- Assist management in financial planning and decision-making
