Logistics Executive
Job Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within the retail sector.
Skills:Strong knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent in problem solving, communication and time management skills (Speed of planning, organization, and problem-solving).Required language(s): Mandarin, English & Bahasa MalaysiaAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making.Experience working with third-party logistics providers and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:Certifications in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) can be a plus.Familiarity with retail industry operations and trends.
Work Environment:Full-time position, with occasional overtime required during peak retail seasons or delivery schedules.Work may involve travel to retail locations, warehouses, or vendor sites around Malaysia.
Responsibilities:Inventory Management:- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock availability across retail outlets and warehouses.- Coordinate and manage stock replenishment and distribution between suppliers, warehouses, and stores.- Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts or overstocking.Transportation and Distribution:- Organize and coordinate the transportation of goods from warehouses to retail stores.- Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.- Optimize transportation routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing costs.
Order Processing and Fulfillment:- Coordinate with retail teams to ensure they are updated on stock availability and delivery schedules.- Ensure that goods are delivered on time and in good condition by coordinating with external vendors.- Handle any discrepancies between the order and delivery from vendors, ensuring quick resolution.
Supply Chain Optimization:- Analyze supply chain performance and implement strategies for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.- Work on demand forecasting and collaborate with retail teams to ensure supply aligns with market demand.
Logistics Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including shipment tracking, inventory, and delivery schedules.- Generate and review regular reports on logistics activities, including cost analysis and performance metrics.- Ensure that all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
Customer Service and Issue Resolution:- Address and resolve logistics-related issues or complaints from customers or retail stores.- Ensure effective communication with internal teams and customers regarding any potential delays or stock issues.- Proactively resolve logistical problems to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Compliance and Safety:- Ensure that all logistics activities adhere to legal and safety standards, including transportation regulations and environmental guidelines.- Maintain records and documentation in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Collaboration with Other Teams:- Work closely with procurement, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless operations.- Coordinate logistics with retail store managers, helping ensure that the right products are in the right locations at the right time.
