Milolo is Malaysia’s leading pioneer in the designer toy and collectible industry. Recently listed on the Bursa LEAP Market, we are expanding beyond retail into the world of corporate branding and strategic alliances. We turn characters into culture, and we are looking for a high-energy Business Development Executive to take our IP into new territories.

The Role

As our Business Development Executive, you won't just be selling products; you will be selling creativity and engagement. Your mission is to integrate Milolo’s unique IP and customizable "DIY" experiences into the daily lives of consumers through corporate partnerships, lifestyle brands, and educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Corporate IP Customization: Identify and approach corporate clients to offer bespoke design services. You will help companies turn their brand identity into high-quality, collectible "Push Toys" or mascot-based merchandise.
  2. Strategic Alliances: Build a network of premium partners, including:
  1. Banking & Loyalty: Negotiate placements in credit card redemption centres.
ii) Travel & Aviation: Secure partnerships with airlines for onboard retail and "In-Flight Exclusive" collectibles.
  1. Event & Experience Activation: Collaborate with event management firms to create "Milolo DIY Zones," allowing event attendees to customize their own toys on-site.
  2. Lifestyle & Retail Integration: Partner with high-traffic lifestyle brands (e.g., Zus Coffee, major pharmacy chains) for cross-brand collaborations and pop-up activities.
  3. Educational Outreach: Approach private, international, and preschools to introduce Milolo DIY workshops as part of their creative arts curriculum or extracurricular activities.
  4. Experience: 2–3 years in Business Development, Brand Licensing, or Strategic Partnerships. Experience dealing with Procurement or Marketing heads of large corporations is essential.
  5. The "Hunter" Mentality: You are proactive in cold-calling and networking to reach decision-makers in Corporate Marketing and Procurement.
  6. Creative Thinking: Ability to visualize how a "toy" fits into a corporate marketing strategy or a school’s art program.
  7. Communication: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage given the nature of the designer toy industry). Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage for coordination with manufacturing and regional IP partners.
  8. Independence: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, "startup-to-IPO" environment where you are expected to build your own pipeline.
  9. Strategic Network: An existing portfolio of contacts within the Banking, Aviation, F&B, or Education sectors will be highly prioritized.
  10. Deal Structuring: Proven ability to move beyond "selling products" to "structuring partnerships" (Revenue sharing models, licensing agreements, and long-term contracts).
  11. Presentation Excellence: Must be a powerhouse in pitching. You can take a complex creative concept and make it a "must-have" for a corporate client.
  12. Market Intelligence: Ability to analyse market trends and competitor moves to identify the "next big" partnership opportunity before it happens.
