Account Executive (hybrid and public transport assessible)

What you'll do:
As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our client's business. You will be deeply involved in the preparation of forecasting and budgeting while managing internal controls related to compliance.Your expertise will be crucial in managing sales and corporate accounting functions such as monthly closings, report submissions, journal postings, credit control, inventory management, payables, tax matters, and audit matters. Your ability to improve accounting systems and procedures will be highly valued.
Furthermore, your role will involve establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Involved in the preparation of forecasting, budgeting, and managing internal control related to compliance.
- Managing sales and corporate accounting function including monthly closing, report submission, journal posting, credit control, inventory management, payable, tax, and audit matters.
- Improving accounting systems and procedures while initiating corrective actions.
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Increasing functional efficiency and providing guidance and coaching to junior staff.
- Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by the management from time-to-time.
What you bring:
The ideal Account Executive candidate brings a wealth of industry experience along with a strong educational background. With at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certificate in Accountancy under your belt, you have spent a minimum of 3 years honing your skills in a similar role.You are known for being a fast learner with a proactive working attitude. Your excellent communication skills are matched by your analytical prowess and problem-solving abilities. You have proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
Your ability to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines is commendable. Advanced computer skills on MS Office are a must, and SAP knowledge would be an added advantage.
- Possession of at least Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certificate in Accountancy with a minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role.
- Fast learner with proactive working attitude.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, law and regulation.
- Ability to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office; SAP knowledge would be an added advantage.
- Background audit experience would be beneficial but not compulsory.
