What you'll do:

As an Assistant Finance Manager based in Petaling Jaya, you will play an integral role in supporting the financial health of the organisation by managing comprehensive accounting processes for multiple entities. Your day-to-day activities will involve preparing accurate financial statements, overseeing tax-related matters, reviewing cost schedules, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver timely insights that inform key business decisions while also mentoring junior staff members.   • Manage the full set of accounts for assigned companies, ensuring all general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax, and treasury functions are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and review detailed schedules related to development costs, progress billings, redemption sums, and debtor management to ensure financial integrity across projects.
  • Take responsibility for preparing tax estimations and comprehensive schedules for company accounts in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of various accounting papers as well as fulfilling statutory reporting obligations to regulatory bodies.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by contributing accurate forecasts and insightful financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to provide timely financial information that supports business operations and project delivery.
  • Guide junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning within the finance function.
  • Participate actively in ad hoc assignments or special projects as required by management to drive operational improvements or address emerging business needs.
  • Ensure all financial reports are prepared punctually and meet the highest standards of accuracy for internal stakeholders and external auditors.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Finance Manager position will bring proven experience from similar roles within finance or accounting environments. Your background should include hands-on exposure to managing end-to-end accounting cycles as well as preparing detailed reports for both internal use and external compliance.
A professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA will demonstrate your commitment to excellence while your ability to guide junior staff reflects your collaborative spirit.
