Assistant Finance Manager

To manage daily accounts’ operational function, i.e., review payment voucher, journal voucher, debit note, credit note, intercompany confirmation, fixed asset register & bank reconciliation.
- To handle the full set of monthly management accounts and ensure their timely submission for monthly & quarterly.
- Ensuring that cash flows are adequate to allow business operations to operate effectively.
- Responsible for preparing the budget and forecast.
- Forecasting cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow.
- Prepare an audit schedule for the balance sheet and P&L items and draft a financial statement.
- Prepare tax computations, deferred tax provision & government tax reporting on a monthly basis.
- Support compliance with Malaysian tax regulations, SST, and statutory filings with authorities (e.g., LHDN, SSM)
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other consultants during audits and reviews.
- Maintain banking relationships and negotiating loans and merchant services for business operations.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports for meetings when necessitating.
- Assist on preparation of consolidation reporting and analysis.
- Work closely with business and operation teams to optimize cost structure.
- Manage / execute any other job responsibilities as and when required by the superior or any other persons designated by the Company.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial processes and reporting.
- Minimum Degree in Accounting / Finance and possess a professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / CIMA, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of solid experience in accounting, including areas such as costing, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and taxation.
- Proficient in SQL / Xero Accounting and Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Hands-on in preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements, with exposure to stakeholder reporting, cash flow planning, tax computation/planning, and working with auditors and tax agents.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Experience in people management is an added advantage.
- A good team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly committed, responsible, and able to meet tight deadlines.
