Production manager [industrial machinery]

We are currently looking for a Production Manager for a leading player in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 50 years in the Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

• Based in Selangor
• Expansion role
• Managing 150-200 hc

• Production Execution and Management:
• Direct and supervise daily production activities to ensure all scheduled work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor production output and key performance indicators (KPIs) against set targets.
• Manage and allocate production resources, including manpower and equipment, to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process to minimize downtime.
• Quality and Process Improvement:
• Develop and enforce rigorous quality control standards to ensure products meet stringent specifications and industry standards (e.g., ISO, UL).
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Collaborate closely with the Quality Control (QC/QA) team to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage employee relations, and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all production activities adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement preventative measures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Liaise with the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
• Prepare and present production reports and KPI summaries to senior management, highlighting performance, challenges, and solutions.

• Possess experience in metal stamping, mechanical assembly, EMS, E&E, semiconductor, or industrial machinery manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in Mandarin as this role requires to to serve a lot of Mandarin-speaking clients.
