Degree /Diploma in Production Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Management or equivalent.
- At least 8 years related work experience in a Manufacturing managerial role.
- Those without the stated tertiary qualification should possess more than 10 years manufacturing experience in a same or related industry. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both Bahasa Malaysia and English with all levels of people.
- Must be a team player who is a well-organized, self-starter as well as result oriented.
- Strong leadership traits, people management and innovative in nature.
- Good knowledge of Quality control, OSHE requirements, and factory best practices.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with production or ERP systems is an advantage
- Plan, manage, and monitor daily factory operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
- Determine all resources required such as manpower, material and equipment to ensure plan output are per schedule.
- Ensure that the production process and the end products meet or exceed the quality standards that were agreed upon with the customers.
- Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant Departments including Sales, Procurement, Distribution and HR to ensure operations runs smoothly.
- Plan and continuously improve all production KPIs as well as quality indicators.
- Monitor, train and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
- Manage the inventory and ensure it is at the most efficient level.
- Manage production budget and implement cost control programs.
- Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives, specifications, and relevant standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures, inspections, and testing.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues and non-conformances.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery, utilities, lifting equipment and factory environment.
- Work with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Oversee warehouse products storage control & safety, receiving and delivery.
- Lead, supervise, and develop assistant manager, production engineer, supervisors, technicians, operators, and factory workers.
- Conduct performance evaluations, training, and skills development.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and high morale within the factory.
- Ensure that the Safe Work Procedures are adhered to as well as the implementation of OSHWA (Pemeriksaan Tempat Kerja Kendiri).
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Enforce workplace health and safety regulations, company HSE policies, and statutory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure proper training, toolbox talks, and risk assessments (HIRARC).
- Any other related work assign by the superior from time to time.
