The Opportunity
Join an international leading food & beverage manufacturer and contribute to a high-performing finance team as an Assistant Financial Accountant. This role follows Australian business hours (6:00/7:00 AM – 3:00/4:00 PM PHT) and offers a hybrid setup (3 days in the office, 2 days work from home) after a 6-month probation period.
Key Responsibilities- Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journals, P&L reports, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconcile financial statements to SAP trial balances and ensure data accuracy across reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits, quarterly ABS surveys, and ad-hoc reporting tasks.
- Maintain the integrity of GRIR reports and support SG&A purchase order processing.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate financial insights.
- Represent the team in procure-to-pay processes and help maintain approval matrices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support Tableau reporting.
- 2–4 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing, with:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial policies
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- CPA or CA qualification is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of IFRS 16 is an advantage
- Experience with ERP systems and data visualization tools like Tableau is an advantage
