Required
- Hospitality Graduate specializing in Food Production
- Culinary Craft Course/Diploma in Food Production
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in high end hospitality industry or similar.
- Fluent in Local Language. (Written and spoken). English and any additional language will be a plus
- Team player with positive attitude
- Responsible and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent team player, self-motivated, well-organized
- Committed to continuous improvement, actively promoting innovation and best practice, constantly seeking feedback
- To prepare food and set up with utmost attention to detail according to standards set forth in training and according to the restaurant sop
- To assist demi chef with regards to general kitchen stock supplies - for ordering and stock take
- To ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in excellent condition and to report any maintenance issues as and when they arise
- Ensure that all areas in the kitchen are always kept clean and tidy. To assist in clearing, cleaning, washing within the kitchen, including in-depth cleaning, using any approved products and methods laid down
- To follow good food hygiene practices in the preparation of dishes and maintenance of equipment at all times
- To ensure that you are ready promptly for your shift in the correct uniform
- To always ensure a high level of personal hygiene and personal grooming
- To be flexible with the roster which may be subject to change to adapt to business needs and staffing situations that may arise
- Liaise with, and assist the kitchen team as required
- Check the daily menu to make sure that the quantity of food is adequate and replenishment of food is in time.
- Maintain a friendly, neat, and pleasant image at all times. Be polite in language and behaviour towards his superiors and staff.
- Ensure overall cleanliness including kitchen equipment, working areas, and personal hygiene.
- Ensure that all safety measures are being taken and properly adhered to in the kitchen area by his subordinates of all sections.
