Key Account Specialist (Modern Trade Sales)

Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in procurement, retail, FMCG, or key account sales will be an added advantage
- Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (reporting and data tracking)
- Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn
- Willing to travel within Malaysia for store visits and business support
This role is responsible for managing and supporting major retail chain accounts and key customers in Malaysia, particularly within the bookstore, stationery, and general retail channels. The position focuses on driving sales growth, building and maintaining strong relationships with buyers, ensuring consistent product availability across stores, and working closely with the merchandising team to execute effective in-store sales activities and product displays.
Modern Trade Account Management- Communicate with buyers, merchandisers & retail partners
- Follow up on orders, deliveries & daily operations
- Build strong relationships with store personnel
- Support monthly & annual sales targets
- Monitor sell-in & sell-out performance
- Identify fast & slow-moving products
- Optimize product displays & visibility
- Assist with new product listings
- Ensure pricing, barcode & product info accuracy
- Coordinate promotions, campaigns & in-store activities
- Ensure smooth execution of promotional pricing & stock
- Conduct regular store visits
- Ensure proper shelf display, pricing & POSM
- Work with merchandisers to improve visibility
- Monitor stock levels across outlets & warehouse
- Coordinate with logistics for replenishment
- Prevent stock shortages & overstock
- Prepare sales reports, performance tracking & updates
- Maintain accurate records using Excel
- Support Shopee, Lazada & TikTok Shop
- Update products, pricing & campaigns
- Reply customer inquiries & handle issues
- Provide support for company events and any other assigned duties when required
