About Us:
GEN Yakiniku is a Japanese-managed yakiniku restaurant located in the heart of Bukit Bintang. As a direct extension of our Japan HQ, we uphold strict standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness. We serve premium cuts of meat with an emphasis on authentic Japanese hospitality and detail-oriented operations.As we expand, we are seeking a dedicated Restaurant Supervisor to support the daily floor operations and ensure an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in F&B supervisory or team lead roles (Japanese restaurant experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Fluent in English and basic proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese is an added advantage
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operation checklists
- Experienced preferred
- Mandaring skill is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Customer Service- Oversee daily front-of-house (FOH) operations to ensure smooth service flow
- Greet guests and ensure they receive excellent service throughout their visit
- Manage customer complaints promptly and professionally
- Lead, train, and motivate service crew members
- Schedule shifts and monitor staff performance and punctuality
- Conduct daily briefings to align the team on priorities, promotions, and standards
- Ensure all food and beverages served meet GEN's quality standards
- Monitor hygiene, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the restaurant
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service
- Report daily sales, issues, and operational updates to management
- Assist in stock level monitoring and liaising with procurement when needed
- Ensure compliance with DBKL, Bomba, and health & safety regulations
- Enforce internal SOPs and ensure all team members follow proper protocols
