Executive/Senior Executive Finance
Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Senior Finance Executive/Finance Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations across the AirAsia Move group of entities. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting and compliance.The Senior Finance Executive/Finance Executive will also drive continuous improvement in financial processes, support month-end closing activities, and contribute to the implementation of best practices across the finance function
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and financial reporting
- Performing a full spectrum of GL function (includes inventory, fixed assets) and to maintain a full set of accounts
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements for local and group reporting, ensuring they meet both local and group reporting requirements
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules
- Assist in managing compliance with financial regulations and support internal and external audit processes
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting operation efficiency and implement best practices to streamline processes
- Review work and provide support to team members, offering guidance and mentorship to enhance their development
- Liaise and work closely with key business stakeholders across various regions and functions to address accounting issues and queries
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Independent, strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Oracle is preferred
