Corporate Communications Senior Executive

What you'll do:
As a Corporate Communications Senior Executive, you will immerse yourself in a multifaceted role that spans media relations, content creation, campaign strategy support, crisis communication preparation, stakeholder engagement activities, vendor coordination, and more.Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners—drafting compelling content for various platforms; monitoring public sentiment; supporting event planning; ensuring message consistency; assisting during crisis scenarios; engaging stakeholders from government agencies to industry associations; coordinating with creative agencies; evaluating project outcomes; all while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Assist in managing relationships with media representatives, journalists, and industry partners to secure positive coverage for the organisation’s initiatives and achievements.
- Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, newsletters, and other communication materials that align with corporate messaging standards.
- Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and brand perception; prepare comprehensive summaries and reports that inform team planning and decision-making processes.
- Provide coordination and support during media engagements, interviews, press conferences, and related events to ensure seamless execution.
- Support the development and implementation of communication plans designed to strengthen brand visibility across key digital and traditional channels.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate a variety of content including speeches, articles, newsletters, website updates, and LinkedIn posts tailored for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to maintain consistency in messaging throughout all internal and external communications.
- Contribute to integrated corporate communication initiatives spanning owned platforms such as the company website and social media accounts as well as through proactive media engagement efforts.
- Assist in preparing crisis communication materials such as holding statements, response templates, talking points, while supporting spokesperson briefings during sensitive situations.
- Coordinate with agencies and vendors for communications-related projects ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget while evaluating performance for future improvements.
What you bring:
- Minimum three years’ experience in public relations or corporate communications within marketing or communications sectors is required for this position.
- A degree in Public Relations, Communications or a relevant discipline provides the foundational knowledge necessary for success in this role.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken) is essential; Mandarin language skills would be considered an advantage for broader engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities combined with outstanding verbal and written communication skills enable effective engagement with diverse audiences internally and externally.
- Competence using design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Canva along with basic photography/videography skills enhances your ability to create visually appealing content.
- Experience managing website content as well as maintaining digital consistency across LinkedIn or similar platforms ensures cohesive online presence.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple assignments accurately while paying close attention to detail supports efficient project delivery under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinking paired with problem-solving skills allows you to evaluate PR impact effectively through data-driven insights.
- Previous experience coordinating with vendors or agencies on communications deliverables helps streamline project workflows from inception through completion.
- Familiarity handling confidential information securely reflects your commitment to ethical standards while experience in event planning adds value during campaign rollouts.
