- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in a business development or sales leadership role, preferably within a medium-sized company environment.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, analyze competitor activities, and understand market trends.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of successfully closing deals and securing profitable contracts.
- Strong strategic planning capabilities to develop and execute effective business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Proficiency in lead generation techniques and tools to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
- Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is essential for effective communication with a diverse client base and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM software and other sales enablement tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A Diploma is the minimum educational requirement for this role.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and market share expansion within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, networking, and market analysis, focusing on key industry segments.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored logistics solutions to foster client retention and satisfaction.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential new service offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead negotiations for contracts and service agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives and profitability goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with business development strategies.
