Project Coordinator - Interior Design

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. To assist the Project Manager to supervise all construction works and work planning on the project.
  2. To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions
  3. To meet client requirements.
  4. To implement plan actions from risks and opportunities assessment.
  5. To supervise, monitor and control daily works at the project site and adhere to document control procedure.
  6. To coordinate and monitor subcontractor’s activities at project site.
  7. To maintain good house-keeping and implement ESH practices.
  8. To ensure that all works carried out are in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, work instructions, etc.
  9. To carry out inspection and tests as per Inspection and Test Plans and use all quality control mechanisms in the QESH management system. Results of such to conform to specifications.
  10. To assist in detailed drawings or shop drawings to support design and construction processes.
  11. To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
  • Requirements:
  1. Degree / Diploma in Architectural/ Interior Design or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity.
  3. Good communication skills.
  4. Knowledge in site works, inspection, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  5. Self-motivated person and able to work independently.
  6. Knowledge in legal requirements and environmental, safety and health practices.
  7. Computer literate.
  8. Able to work 6 days a week
  9. Oversee and manage daily site operations and construction activities
  10. Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedul
  11. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, site supervisors, foremen and workers
  12. Plan and monitor site resources including manpower, materials, machinery and equipment
  13. Monitor work progress, quality, productivity and workmanship standards
  14. Enforce site safety, health and environmental (SHE) compliance in accordance with DOSH, CIDB and project requirements
  15. Conduct site inspections and identify potential issues or non-compliance
  16. Resolve technical and site-related problems to avoid delays or rework
  17. Attend site coordination meetings and liaise with consultants, clients and internal project teams
  18. Ensure proper implementation of site instructions, NCRs and rectification works
  19. Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports
  20. Maintain proper site documentation, records and as-built information
  21. Assist in project handover, testing & commissioning and defect rectification
