Your role:

We’re looking for an Inside Sales Associate, within the Global Insight (GI) team under Market Intelligence Division to :

  • Conduct outbound calls and other prospecting activities to identify and qualify potential customers, recording all interactions and progress in the CRM system.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the value proposition of our trade solution and how it aligns with the specific business needs of each client. Job responsibility may expand to cover other products under GI in the future
  • Maintain a proactive and timely approach to lead generation and pipeline development through consistent outreach and follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to generate new business opportunities
  • Prepare and submit accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

Your team:

You will be part of the sales team covering APAC within the Global Insight business line, based in Penang, Malaysia. As our team continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to focus on this strategic region. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business for our trade solution within the region.

This position offers strong potential for career growth within S&P Global.

Your expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin (oral and written).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience preferred in managing end-to-end sales for both new business and renewals.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and passionate about sales.
  • Quick to learn new products and adapt to evolving sales strategies.

Other Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM, etc.)
  • Knowledge of contracts and proposal process.
  • Ability to analyze business opportunities, develop effective sales strategies and close
business.
  • Ability to develop sales plans to achieve penetration and grow revenue.
  • Ability to conduct effective presentations to all levels of clients.
