Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management.
• Ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.

• Monitor revenue recognition, especially for retainer-based and project-based clients.
• Track client invoicing, payment collections, and agency spending.
• Reconcile media spend vs. billed and identify gaps.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, SST, etc, and other statutory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government bodies.
• Maintain and implement internal controls and accounting policies.

• Manage and mentor junior finance staff or outsourced accountants.
• Collaborate with sales and project teams to support project costing, margin analysis, and billing cycles.
• Coordinate with HR on payroll-related financial reporting.

• Streamline accounting processes and improve the use of digital tools and systems.
• Assist in implementing accounting or ERP software upgrades or integrations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial/supervisory role
• Prior experience in a digital agency, media, creative, or service-based environment is a strong advantage.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SQL) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Proactive and independent with strong organizational skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a digital-first environment.
• Familiarity with agency billing models (retainer, project-based, performance-based) is a plus.
