In this role, you will be the cornerstone of their network defense, designing, implementing, and managing a secure and resilient infrastructure from their Johor location. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure in the US, you will be a proactive, hands-on expert responsible for safeguarding complex enterprise environments against evolving cyber threats.

What You'll Do:

• Architect & Defend: Design, implement, and maintain critical security solutions, including next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto experience is a must), VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and NAC.
• Embrace Modern Security: Apply and champion Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and enhance security through advanced network and micro-segmentation strategies.
• Secure the Cloud: Leverage your experience with AWS to secure VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and other associated cloud security controls.
• Threat Hunting & Response: Proactively monitor and analyze network traffic for threats using SIEM and SOAR platforms, and lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis.
• Automate & Innovate: Develop and implement network security automation using tools like Python or Ansible to streamline processes and enhance threat detection with AI/ML-based tools.
• Ensure Compliance: Uphold and implement security controls aligned with industry best practices and regulatory frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience in Network Security Engineering or a similar role.
• Must-have hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or Cisco security solutions.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms and network traffic analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Aruba ClearPass NAC.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or GIAC are strongly preferred.
