They are seeking a Technical Sourcing Senior Engineer with strong industry expertise to join them at their Melaka headquarters.This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving operational efficiency and supporting the company’s growth through strategic sourcing and supplier management.
about the job
The suitable candidate will be required to:
- Source on new commodity code accordingly: Fabrication Parts, Modules, Standard Components and Indirect Material.
- Perform regular market watch and internal needs analysis and to find new suppliers if required.
- Negotiate with approved suppliers for the best cost and ensure zero quality issue.
- Consolidate cost savings and provide reporting for areas of responsibility.
- Work in collaboration with suppliers on defined improvement projects, product family analysis for long-term supply partnership.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing and Quality Department for preparation and execution of quarterly supplier review.
- Update and maintain Purchasing Info Record and Source list based on the element of quality, cost & delivery criteria.

The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members between interdepartments.
Skills and experience required
To be successful in your role, you will come with:
- Bachelor Degree/ Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and planning, preferably with semiconductor manufacturing background.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge on machine processing & ability to read technical drawings is a strong advantage.
