Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Landside Operations Executive (Floater) plays a dual-function role by primarily supporting the Landside Operations division through executive-level administrative and analytical tasks during standard office hours, while also serving as a standby replacement for the Duty Executive during periods of leave or absence.

This role contributes to the safe, efficient, and seamless functioning of landside operations, ensuring minimal traffic disruption, effective team coordination, and consistent stakeholder engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Documentation and Administrative Support
  • Responsible for preparing and managing all relevant documentation related to Landside Operations, which include but are not limited to operational reports, approval papers, tender documents, and official correspondences.
  1. Data Analysis and Performance Evaluation
  • Conduct statistical analyses related to landside performance, which include but are not limited to passenger and vehicle traffic data, occupancy rates, and incident trends.
  • Preparing cost-benefit analyses (CBA), estimating operational budgets, and compiling performance measurements to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  1. Team Supervision and Operational Oversight During the Absent of Duty Executive
  • Assume full supervisory responsibility over the landside shift team during the absence of the Duty Executive, ensuring operational continuity and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate daily shift activities involving traffic flow, facility monitoring, patrolling, enforcement, and incident response.
  1. Meeting Participation and Stakeholder Coordination
  • Attend internal and external meetings as delegated, representing the Landside Operations unit professionally and effectively.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal departments, public transport providers, enforcement agencies, and other government stakeholders.
  • Monitor service performance and actively manage customer feedback related to landside transport and facilities.
  1. Other Duties
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the superior, provided such tasks fall within the overall scope of Landside Operations.
Key Challenges
  • Balancing office-based tasks (e.g. reporting, analysis, documentation) with on-ground operational responsibilities
  • Adapting quickly when assigned to replace the Duty Executive, including supervising shift teams and managing real-time operations
  • Managing diverse stakeholders including enforcement agencies, transport operators, and internal departments
Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data interpretation and operational improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace applications, especially Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, and Word/Docs
  • Good interpersonal and team coordination skills, especially when supervising or replacing the Duty Executive
  • Familiarity with public transport operations, traffic management, or airport landside functions is an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to sudden operational demands

Education

Internal
  • Degree in any discipline
External
  • Degree in any discipline, preferably in Airport Operations Management
  • Minimum CGPA 3.0

Relevant Industries

Internal
  • Degree holder with minumum 3 years relevant working experience
  • Diploma holder with minumum 5 years relevant working experience
  • Certificate holder with minumum 7 years relevant working experience
  • SPM holder with minimum 7 years relevant working experience
  • Must achieve and maintain the following performance rating for two (2) consecutive years of at least:
  • Exceptional / A or Outstanding / B; and
  • Minimum Meet Expectations / C
  • The employee must not be subjected to disciplinary punishments except for disciplinary counseling, caution, reminder & warning for the past 36 consecutive months.

  • Degree holder with minumum 3 years relevant working experience
