Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is an advantage).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in finance, preferably in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of CIDB, LHDN, and BNM regulations related to construction finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, or SAP).
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in liaising with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) regulations.
  • Handle audits and tax filings, including SST, income tax, and real property gains tax (RPGT).
  • Work closely with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.
  1. Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost control reports.
  • Track cash flow management and funding requirements for ongoing projects.
  • Identify cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  1. Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Manage progress payments, claims verification, and billing to clients and subcontractors.
  • Oversee supplier and vendor payments based on project milestones.
  • Ensure timely collection of accounts receivables to maintain cash flow.
  1. Project & Contract Finance
  • Analyze contract agreements, Letter of Award (LOA), and Variation Orders (VO) from a financial perspective.
  • Monitor construction project financing and liaise with banks for project loans and financial instruments.
  • Work with quantity surveyors (QS) to assess financial implications of contract variations.
  1. Financial Strategy & Decision Making
  • Provide financial analysis for senior management to support decision-making.
  • Forecast financial performance and assess risks in new projects.
  • Assist in investment evaluations related to land purchases or joint ventures.
