THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a well-established Australian firm with expertise in managing multinational accounts, iconic brands, high-net-worth individuals, and private businesses. They have over 60 years of experience and specialize in various industry sectors, providing risk management advice and maintaining a strong reputation in local and international insurance markets.
They are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Manila. The role provides support to the finance and broking teams, proactively supporting the finance function, maintaining client and underwriter relationships, and assisting with cash allocation and general ad hoc accounts receivable requirements.
This position is hybrid and based in BGC, Manila - work hours are 6am to 3pm Manila time. You will be expected to work in the office on every Thursday and other 4 days work from home.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily finance tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and procurement support.
- Send customer statements, invoices, and credit notes, and assist with cash allocation.
- Investigate mismatched receipts and coordinate with brokers on adjustments and refunds.
- Maintain accurate records across finance and broking systems.
- Support month-end processes and assist with financial and management reporting.
- Help improve documentation and financial processes to support efficiency and project tracking.
- Degree in Finance or Accounting, Finance Administration or any relevant field.
- Minimum 4-6 years of working experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), preferably in the insurance brokerage field.
- MUST have experience supporting Australian accounting with a strong understanding of financial administration and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with finance systems (e.g., MYOB Advanced/Acumatica or any other accounting system
