Job Description:
We are looking for a disciplined, responsible, and highly committed Shop Manager to take full charge of the daily operations of our shop. This is a hands-on management role for someone who can lead by example, enforce standards, maintain staff discipline, and ensure the business runs efficiently at all times.

The Shop Manager will be held accountable for store performance, staff supervision, operational control, customer service standards, stock accuracy, and overall shop condition. We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic, a serious attitude towards responsibility, and the ability to manage the shop firmly and professionally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations of the shop
  • Ensure the shop opens and closes on time and operates according to company standards at all times
  • Supervise, manage, and monitor staff performance closely to ensure duties are carried out properly
  • Enforce discipline, punctuality, cleanliness, and work standards among all staff
  • Ensure all staff follow company policies, instructions, and operational procedures without exception
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure the team works towards achieving sales targets
  • Handle customer complaints, difficult situations, and operational issues in a professional and firm manner
  • Oversee stock control, stock movement, stock counting, and inventory accuracy to prevent loss or negligence
  • Ensure all products are displayed properly, the shop is clean and organized, and the overall environment is well maintained
  • Manage staff scheduling, attendance, leave planning, and task assignments efficiently
  • Train, guide, and monitor staff to ensure consistent performance and compliance with company expectations
  • Ensure all cash handling, payment collection, and daily closing procedures are done accurately and without error
  • Report operational issues, staff problems, stock concerns, and sales updates to management in a timely manner
  • Take immediate action on problems affecting operations, customer service, or store reputation
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned by management and be ready to step in wherever needed for the good of the business

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification
  • At least 1–3 years of working experience in retail operations, store management, or a supervisory role
  • Proven ability to manage staff, maintain discipline, and handle operational responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to control, direct, and manage a team effectively
  • Strict, responsible, and highly dependable with a strong sense of accountability
  • Able to work under pressure, solve problems quickly, and make firm decisions when required
  • High level of discipline, punctuality, and commitment to work
  • Good communication skills and the ability to deal with staff and customers professionally
  • Able to handle difficult staff situations, customer complaints, and day-to-day operational challenges maturely
  • Good understanding of shop operations, sales monitoring, stock control, and customer service standards
  • Willing to work long hours, weekends, public holidays, and retail hours when required
  • Must have a serious working attitude and must not be careless, irresponsible, or unable to follow instructions
  • Able to take ownership of the shop and ensure standards are maintained consistently
  • Interest or knowledge in trading cards, collectibles, hobby products, or related retail industry is an added advantage
