about the Job
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) / General Manager (GM) of Construction to lead our client's construction operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's projects, from tendering and planning to execution and completion.The successful candidate will drive operational efficiency, ensure project profitability, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company and leading it to new heights.
skills and experience required- Local candidate with a Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with a significant portion in a senior management or leadership role (e.g., General Manager, Operations Director, COO).
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale government building and infrastructure projects in Malaysia.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, contract administration, and financial management.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Demonstrable experience in business development and strategic planning.
- A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites throughout the country.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
