About the Role
Are you a thinker, a creative storyteller, and a hands-on design leader? Join our Human Centred Design team and help lead the digital transformation of insurance in Malaysia. We are looking for an experienced UXUI manager who can drive design strategy, manage end-to-end product design, and build experiences that bring clarify and confidence to our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage product design initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall product goals and strategies.
- Be a compelling storyteller and an effective communicator, capable of delivering the final design and conducting discovery/design workshops for stakeholders, business users, and project teams.
- Possess hands-on creative and systems thinking skills with a strong UX/UI design background.
- Advocate for a user-centric design approach and foster a shared understanding of the connection between design, business, and engineering within the team, effectively articulating user problems and business opportunities.
- Implement data insights to guide UX/UI design direction.
- Identify elegant solutions to user problems, think critically from the user's perspective, prototype multiple design concepts, and select the best solution.
- Stay current with design trends and research to enhance the user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and address design-related issues while challenging requirements and providing solutions.
- Oversee design deliverables and manage the design timeline to ensure timely project completion.
- Take a proactive approach and contribute to enhancing and maintaining existing products by proposing improvements related to usability, performance, and consistency.
- Ensure effective allocation of UX/UI design resources for projects.
Key Proficiencies and Background:
- Deep understanding and practical experience of user experience research methods and the application of digital design systems for user interfaces.
- A portfolio showcasing successful product launches in the market.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with team management experience.
- Familiarity with planning and conducting design/discovery workshops.
- Proficiency in comprehending technical challenges and the capability to align them with design solutions.
- Knowledge of front-end development is a plus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human-Centered Design, Digital Media Design, Creative Multimedia, or any related design field.
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in user experience and interaction design and management, with relevant experience in handling design systems
- Proficient in Figma, Figjam & Miro.
