Business Development Manager

Achieve at least Degree certificate
- 5+ years in B2B sales/business development (retail, FMCG or pet industry preferred)
- Able to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets (RM 5 million / year)
- Strong network in retail/pet industry (desirable)
- Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills
- Financial acumen (P&L understanding, margin management)
- Willingness to travel 50-70% of time
Sales Growth & Revenue Generation:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets
- Identify and secure high-value B2B accounts
- Expand retail distribution through new store partnerships and channel development
Business Development:
- Prospect and onboard new business partners (distributors, retailers, wholesalers)
- Negotiate profitable contracts with pet-related businesses
- Develop trade marketing sales programs for bulk buyers
Account Development & Management:
- Develop & manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and maximize account potential
- Implement account growth strategies through upselling and cross-selling
- Resolve customer business issues and maintain high satisfaction levels
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives and account managers
- Set clear KPIs and performance targets for the sales team and monitor progress
- Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews
- Foster a high-performance culture with accountability and motivation
- Identify skill gaps and implement coaching programs to improve team effectiveness
- Resolve conflicts and ensure team collaboration for maximum productivity
Sales Operations:
- Monitor sales performance metrics and implement improvement plans
- Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis
- Collaborate with marketing on promotional campaigns and sales collateral
