Assistant Manager, Governance, Assurance & Planning
Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Governance to lead and drive key Group ICT Governance initiatives. This role will be instrumental in overseeing contract governance, project value realization, and Group ICT training management.The successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting the implementation and certification of ISO/IEC 20000 as part of our service management excellence journey. Strong compliance focus, structured thinking, and the ability to work across teams are essential for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage key Group ICT Governance initiatives, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Group ICT Contract Management
- Maintain a centralized, secure, and up-to-date repository for all ICT contracts to ensure ease of access, version control, and compliance.
- Track and manage the full contract lifecycle — from initiation to expiration — including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Ensure timely action on renewals and reviews to prevent service disruption or non-compliance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support contract negotiations, novations, and vendor transitions.
- Provide guidance to ICT teams on contract-related processes, ensuring alignment with internal governance standards.
- Integrate Group ICT Standard Service Level Agreements (SLAs) into all ICT contracts to ensure consistent service expectations.
- Group ICT Project Value Realization
- Assess whether completed ICT projects have delivered expected benefits or return on investment (ROI), comparing actual outcomes against planned objectives.
- Prepare post-implementation value realization reports for management, highlighting lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Promote value-driven project execution by fostering collaboration and transparency across Group ICT units.
- Strengthen partnerships with technology providers and internal stakeholders through effective engagement and communication.
- Group ICT Training Management
- Oversee the planning, tracking, and reporting of ICT training programs to ensure skill development aligns with organizational needs and compliance standards.
- Maintain training records and coordinate mandatory training initiatives across the department.
- Support continuous capability development within Group ICT to align with industry best practices and certification requirements.
- ISO/IEC 20000 Implementation and Certification Support
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ISO/IEC 20000 service management standards across Group ICT.
- Coordinate documentation, internal audits, and readiness activities required for ISO 20000 certification.
- Promote awareness of ISO 20000 principles across teams, embedding best practices in service delivery, governance, and performance monitoring.
- Educational Background
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Proficient in analyzing large datasets and translating insights into meaningful reports and dashboards.
- Skilled in preparing clear, concise, and data-driven performance reports for various stakeholders.
- Critical Thinking & Strategic Evaluation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex issues and propose data-backed, strategic recommendations.
- Able to assess project value realization and vendor performance effectively.
- Attention to Detail
- Meticulous in managing documentation, contracts, and reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
- Effective Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experienced in preparing executive summaries, performance circulars, and formal reports.
- Project & Contract Lifecycle Management
- Demonstrated ability to oversee the full lifecycle of ICT contracts and projects, including planning, execution, renewals, terminations, and transitions.
- Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and vendor management frameworks.

- The unit will centrally manage:
○ Risk management,
○ Audit monitoring and closures,
○ Cybersecurity coordination,
○ Financial administration and planning, and
○ Strategy planning- GAP will monitor, maintain and enforce policies and will also liaise with other Group ICT departments for related deliverables and submissions
- GAP will identify, organize, review and maintain where applicable, all data related to projects, assets and systems under care, contracts and financials
