Corporate development manager / am

Reporting To: Head of Corporate Development

Job Purpose

To support the company’s strategic growth initiatives through the identification, evaluation, and execution of corporate development opportunities, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic investments across the group’s diversified portfolio.

• Contribute to the formulation and refinement of the Group’s corporate strategy and long-term business plans.
• Lead and manage end-to-end execution of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnership initiatives, including deal sourcing, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and post-deal integration.
• Prepare and review investment proposals and approval papers, incorporating market research, business case development, financial and sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment.
• Build and/or oversee the development of financial models and perform financial analysis to support investment and strategic decision-making.
• Engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., business units, advisors, legal, regulatory bodies) to ensure smooth execution of corporate development initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and macroeconomic indicators to identify potential risks and opportunities for the Group.
• Support corporate finance activities such as capital allocation, capital structure optimization, and strategic funding initiatives.
• Track the performance of completed investments and strategic projects to ensure alignment with expected returns and group objectives.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members to foster continuous learning and high-performance culture.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ICAEW, or MBA are an advantage.
• 5–8 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or M&A within a corporate environment.
• Proven experience in evaluating and executing complex transactions including acquisitions, divestments, partnerships, and capital projects.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and dynamic environment.

Preferred Industry Background

Conglomerates, real estate, energy, infrastructure, financial services, or related sectors.
