We are partnering with two established Malaysian groups from the retail and diversified investment sectors, both actively expanding their corporate finance and investment teams. These positions offer opportunities for professionals at different levels — from Associate to AVP — to play a pivotal role in driving investment strategy, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making.

About the Role

As part of the Corporate Finance & Strategy team, you will be responsible for conducting investment research, financial modelling, and business valuation to support the group’s corporate growth and investment objectives. You’ll work closely with senior management on M&A evaluations, feasibility studies, fundraising activities, and portfolio performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth financial and investment analyses on potential projects, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and valuation reports to support management decisions.
  • Assess the risk and return profiles of investments and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Perform due diligence covering financial, legal, tax, and operational aspects of potential investments.
  • Prepare investment papers, board reports, and presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Track industry and macroeconomic trends to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in finance, operations, and legal to ensure investment alignment and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CFA or CPA qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3–10 years of experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, M&A advisory, or financial planning (level of seniority will depend on experience).
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation, and presentation of investment materials.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving corporate environment.
  • For senior positions, proven experience in leading deal execution, managing external advisors, and supporting strategic investment decisions.
