A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Senior Regional Supplier Development Manager to champion supplier performance and sustainability initiatives across the region.
What you'll do:
As Senior Regional Supplier Development Manager, you will play a central role in advancing the organisation’s commitment to responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship.- Lead the development and implementation of regional supplier improvement programmes focused on enhancing performance across quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and sustainability dimensions.
- Drive proactive initiatives aimed at reducing waste and carbon emissions throughout the supply chain by broadening sustainability efforts beyond assessments to process development.
- Own supplier performance measurement systems by setting clear targets, monitoring progress through data-driven tools, and ensuring corrective actions are taken where necessary.
- Support selected suppliers in adopting ambitious carbon and waste reduction targets as part of long-term supply chain sustainability goals.
- Ensure all supplier development activities comply with organisational processes, standards, and corporate values while maintaining transparency in reporting.
- Enhance supplier performance monitoring tools by defining new standards for data collection, analysis, and reporting to drive continuous improvement.
What you bring:
To excel as Senior Regional Supplier Development Manager, your background should reflect substantial experience in global procurement or integrated supply chain functions- University degree or Master’s level qualification (or equivalent experience) ideally in procurement or supply chain management.
- Approximately 10 years’ proven experience in global procurement or integrated supply chain roles with a strong background in supplier improvement programmes.
- Demonstrated change management skills with an empathetic approach to guiding teams through transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication abilities enabling you to connect effectively with both external partners and internal stakeholders across different cultures.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude supported by a keen eye for identifying opportunities for improvement within existing processes.
- Experience or willingness to apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma within supplier development contexts.
- Basic understanding of corporate sustainability programmes or openness to developing expertise in this area through training opportunities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools for effective data analysis related to supplier performance monitoring.
- Fluency in English along with readiness for regional or international travel as required.
