  1. Malaysia & Singapore Communications
  • Develop and implement internal and external communications plans to support business objectives, brand visibility, and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to the General Manager and local CODI.
  • Lead corporate media relations, including press releases, media interviews, PR campaigns, and media inquiries.
  • Manage internal communication channels and content, including leadership messages, townhalls, and cultural campaigns.
  • Oversee crisis communication planning and execution, in close coordination with senior leadership and relevant functions.
  • Ensure consistency with Danone’s global messaging, brand guidelines, and tone of voice.
  • Lead the management and coordination of external communication partners, including PR agencies and media consultants.
  • Support change management and transformation messaging during business transitions.
  1. SEA Communications (Regional Scope)
  • Drive alignment of communications strategies across SEA markets, ensuring consistent delivery of Danone’s corporate narrative.
  • Lead SEA-level campaigns and cluster-wide messaging for key business priorities, in collaboration with the SEA General Secretary and Corporate Affairs team.
  • Coordinate with local communicators to adapt and activate global campaigns at the country level.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing and capability building across in-country communications teams.
  • Manage regional communications response and coordination during crisis situations.
  • Support stakeholder communication efforts for sustainability, innovation, and regulatory themes in collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Represent SEA in Danone’s Global Communications Community and act as the primary liaison for SEA-related communications projects, issues, and media releases at the global level.
  1. Additional Responsibilities
  • Act as Danone’s spokesperson in Malaysia and Singapore, when designated.
  • Support the SEA leadership team in preparing speeches, presentations, and key messaging.
  • Lead strategic content creation for leadership visibility, campaigns, and media stories.
  • Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and develop risk mitigation communication strategies.
  • Ensure Danone’s internal and external communications in SEA reinforce its purpose and values.
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; or in other SEA languages is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with media landscape and communication tools
  • High adaptability, stakeholder management capability, and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in managing agency partners and digital communication tools.
  • 10–15 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or Media Relations, preferably in FMCG or highly regulated industries.
  • Proven track record in managing communications strategies, stakeholder engagement, and media relations.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills across formats (e.g., press releases, speeches, internal messaging).
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to coordinate across markets.
  • Experience managing communication during organizational change and crisis situations.
  • Ability to advise senior leadership and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization or regional role is a plus.
