Technology Support Engineer (Automation) New

A rapidly growing precision engineering and automation startup, headquartered in Shenzhen, China, with expanding operations and customers across Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas, is currently hiring a Technology Support Engineer (Automation) to support both Malaysia‑based and global accounts.

The company specializes in high‑precision machining, automation solutions, and advanced manufacturing technologies, serving global semiconductor and industrial customers. This role is highly hands‑on and plays a critical part in ensuring system uptime, performance optimization, and customer satisfaction across international manufacturing sites.

• Provide on‑site technical support for automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, control systems, and automation processes.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, system diagnostics, and performance optimization to ensure reliable operations.
• Work closely with customers to understand operational challenges and deliver effective, practical technical solutions.
• Support installation, commissioning, testing, and production ramp‑up of automation systems at customer sites.
• Travel extensively to customer locations across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas (approximately 70% travel).
• Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and provide post‑service feedback to internal teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to support continuous product, system, and process improvement.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related disciplines.
• Hands‑on experience with automation systems, PLCs, robotics, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience in the semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and confidence working independently on‑site at customer facilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively regionally and internationally and support overseas assignments.
• Good communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
