Job Description
POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY
Provide financial advisory on strategic and financial services through every phase of economic cycle for all critical area with focus to increase company value.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Primary Responsibilities- Managing, structuring and executing corporate finance and investment exercises for MAHB Group, which may encompass, amongst others, ongoing review & actions to achieve optimal capital structure, acquisitions and divestments and debt and equity capital market transactions.
- Structuring and executing corporate loans and banking facilities.
- Manage external parties ranging from lawyers, tax agents, investment banks and regulators in analysing and structuring proposals, as well as engage and liaise with the external advisers to prepare reports, transaction structures and make appropriate recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Coordinating with other Group Finance for the preparation of financing cash flow projections/analysis in evaluating funding proposals.
- Working closely with the various divisions under Group Finance (Group Accounts, Tax, Regulatory Economics Investor Relations) and the respective finance teams of the business units of MAHB group.
- To assist in overseing and strategizing treasury operations, including daily cash management and settlement processes covering all MAHB subsidiaries and reconciliation of treasury accounting
- Hedging and risk management for MAHB financial exposure, eg.Forex, Cross currency swap, interst rate swap.
- Perform financial planning & liquidity forecasting, procurement of funds, and enhance Companys investment return via placement, fixed income and equity investment
- Manage Group financial and liquidity risk
- Ensure availability of funds when needed (adhoc), and as per business plan
- Attaining funding (debt markets, corp loans and trade facilities) above benchmark terms.
- Consistently maintain investment returns above benchmark rate
- Work closely with divisional leadership team to develop or recommend business strategies to enhance organizational performance and shareholder value
- Have in-depth financial analysis as well as good writing skills.
- Good business sense and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial transactions.
- Sound knowledge of treasury wor demonstrated through relevant work experience.
- Self-driven, strong determination and able to work under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written English Skills with good attention to detail.
Education
External- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking
- Master degree would be an added advantage
Relevant Industries
Unique Requirement- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be an added advantage
- Degree holder with a minimum of 7 years of related working experience, preferably 4 years in corporate finance/debt capital
markets in an investment bank
