A day in the Role:
As a F&B Operations Manager, your day is all about balance — between big-picture strategy and on-the-ground execution. You’ll be an expert in all things Nando’s particularly with regards to restaurant standard operating procedures, processes and management.
Also, provide the correct business leadership to the Area Managers team to ensure the profitability and financial targets are met along with the delivery of all Brand Standards and to ensure that business operations are efficient and effective, and the desired growth is achieved.
- Lead & Inspire Teams: Mentor Business Managers to deliver strong results, high standards, and great team engagement.
- Drive Financial Goals: Oversee budgets, P&L performance, and KPIs. Identify gaps and lead improvements to grow profitability.
- Grow the Business: Support new restaurant openings, build local sales strategies, and boost regional revenue through innovative initiatives.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Uphold food safety, cleanliness, audit readiness, and adherence to SOPs across all locations.
- Champion the Brand: Ensure our restaurants reflect the Nando’s experience in quality, service, and environment.
- Develop Talent: Build a strong people pipeline by coaching and developing teams, and creating a happy and high-performing work culture.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with HR, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT to support key initiatives and drive results.
- Think Strategically: Solve operational challenges, manage crises when needed, and support long-term regional growth.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Business Management / Operations Management / Food & Beverage Management / Technical Operations / Technical Management / Business Studies
- At least 8 to 10 years of working experience in retail operation management, specializing in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent.
- Experience of working in restaurant management or working in international brand chained restaurant business is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- An agile and inspiring leader capable of operating in both the strategic and operational levels.
- Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Possess the drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges.
