About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, hungry Trading & IT Intern who wants to get their hands dirty in real institutional-grade quantitative trading while building cutting-edge fintech systems.
This is not a coffee-run internship.
You will sit right next to our Athena AI trading team and IT engineers, working on live market data, real trading strategies, and the infrastructure that powers a $130 billion private equity-backed quantitative engine.
If you want to see how AI actually makes money in global markets (PAXG-XAU arbitrage, SMC smart-money models, 8-factor convergence), and at the same time learn how to build, monitor and secure high-frequency trading systems — this role is built for you.
What You Will Do
Trading Side
Monitor live Athena trading engine performance (24/7 global markets)
Assist in data analysis, signal validation, and back-testing of new strategies
Track PAXG-XAU arbitrage opportunities and SMC (Smart Money Concept) setups
Prepare daily/weekly trading reports and performance dashboards
Help the team refine risk parameters and position sizing
IT / Tech Side
Support the trading infrastructure (MT5, Python scripts, cloud monitoring on Tencent Cloud)
Build and maintain internal dashboards (real-time PnL, latency, slippage tracking)
Assist with API integrations, data pipelines, and basic automation scripts
Perform system health checks, log analysis, and basic cybersecurity monitoring
Help document trading system workflows and create user guides
What We Are Looking For
Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
Strong interest in trading, quant strategies, and fintech
Basic Python (or willingness to learn fast) and Excel/Google Sheets mastery
Familiarity with MT5, TradingView, or any trading platform is a big plus
Good English + Chinese (Mandarin) is highly advantageous
Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and genuinely excited about markets moving 24/7
No prior professional experience required — we care more about your hunger and learning speed than your resume.
