Technical Business Development Engineer (Energy / Power Industry) New

Our client is a well-established engineering services provider in the power & energy sector, supporting major power plant operations across the region. The company works closely with global OEM partners and is involved outage, maintenance and upgrade projects for large scale power generation facilities.
They are now looking for Technical strong engineer who can bridge into a business development role, someone can understand how equipment works in real operating, can read and interpret technical drawings and familiar with maintenance concepts and troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the energy and power industry, including emerging and carbon neutral solutions
- Review and analyze technical enquiries, specifications and client requirements from customers and vendors
- Prepare technical proposals and solution recommendation aligned with project needs
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and regional / global offices to deliver integrated solutions
- Support business development activities by engaging with clients, understand needs and proposing suitable services / products
- Evaluate project feasibility, risks and provide recommendations to management
- Attend client meetings, site visits and provide technical support when required
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and propose practical solutions
- Support project execution and coordination where necessary
- Travel locally and overseas for business meetings and project support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the energy, power plant or industrial engineering sector
- Strong understanding of thermal power plant systems/ rotating equipment / industrial energy solutions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Experience in handling technical proposal, tender, or client enquiries is highly preferred
- Proactive, independent and able to work in a fast paced environment
