About the Role:

As a CBRE Fire Safety Lead, you will be in charge of planning and coordinating the fire safety operations for small to medium-sized property.

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders, and to ensure compliance.
  • Enforce all fire prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures. Remain up to date on pre-fire plans
  • Review and implement the organization’s fire prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Meet regularly with property managers to discuss events, escalated incidents, and serious concerns.
  • Review equipment tests to verify they work in an effective and efficient manner. Escalate any concerns or issues to management.
  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures.
  • Support Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives program.
  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Additional certifications as required by the local authority.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
