We are looking for a Senior Business Development Executive who can merge technical polymer knowledge with strategic B2B sales to drive our next phase of growth. Whether you come from the recycling sector, chemical distribution, or the packaging industry, if you can sell technical solutions to manufacturing leaders, we want you.
The Three Pillars of Your Expertise- B2B Sales (Industrial / Technical)
- Strategic Hunting: Identify and penetrate new accounts within the manufacturing, electronics, and automotive sectors.
- Complex Negotiations: Manage long-term supply contracts and navigate index-based pricing (ICIS) in a volatile commodity market.
- Technical Trials: Coordinate with client production teams to run material trials, ensuring our recycled resins integrate perfectly into their machinery.
- Sustainability / ESG
- Consultative Value: Translate the "Green" benefits of our materials into a competitive advantage for your clients.
- Compliance Expertise: Help clients navigate local and international ESG regulations (e.g., Plastic Tax, GRS Certification, and Carbon Reporting).
- Brand Partnership: Position CY Plastic as a strategic partner in our clients' journey toward 100% circularity.
- Plastic / Polymer / Packaging
- Material Fluency: Deep understanding of polymer properties (HDPE, LDPE, PP, PET) and their applications in injection molding or film extrusion.
- Substrate Knowledge: Ability to discuss material performance (Melt Flow, Tensile Strength, Density) with R&D and Quality Control heads.
- Industry Experience: We welcome talent from Plastic Converters, Flexible Packaging, Masterbatch/Chemicals, or Virgin Resin Sales.
- Develop and execute a business development pipeline targeting high-volume industrial resin and film users.
- Act as the technical bridge between CY Plastic’s production plant and the customer's factory floor.
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to ensure CY Plastic remains the preferred sustainable supplier.
- Prepare data-driven sales forecasts and market insights for senior management.
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven success in Technical B2B Sales or Industrial BD.
- The "Plastic Bridge": You must have a functional understanding of plastics, resins, or films. (e.g., from selling packaging to FMCGs or raw materials to factories).
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage technical product trials.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in Mandarin is required to effectively manage relationships with manufacturing partners, conduct site audits, and liaise with regional stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel locally for site audits and internationally for exhibitions.
- Base Salary: RM5,000 (Inclusive of fixed allowances).
- Uncapped Commission: Performance-based scheme where top earners can realistically achieve RM8,000 – RM12,000+ per month.
- Full Reimbursements: Comprehensive claims for travel (mileage/tolls) and business expenses.
