The Sales Director will serve as a key member of the local leadership team. Your mission is to drive top-line growth and market share through strategic leadership across all sales channels, including Modern Trade, General Trade, and Emerging Channels.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be the primary driver of the commercial agenda, ensuring that the company’s portfolio remains the dominant choice in every Malaysian pantry.

Job Description:

  • Strategic Commercial Leadership: Define and execute the long-term sales strategy for Malaysia, aligning local execution with regional growth targets.
  • P&L Management: Full ownership of the national sales budget, optimizing trade spend and commercial investment to maximize ROI and profitability.
  • High-Stakes Negotiations: Lead the top-to-top engagement with major retail giants and distribution partners to secure strategic joint business plans (JBPs).
  • Organizational Transformation: Lead and develop a large-scale sales team, instilling a high-performance culture focused on category leadership and execution excellence.
  • Market Intelligence: Leverage data-driven insights to anticipate consumer trends and competitor moves, ensuring the brand maintains its competitive edge.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced professional qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of commercial experience in the FMCG sector, with a proven track record of success in a Country Sales Lead or Commercial Director capacity.
  • Extensive experience navigating the complexities of the Malaysian Modern Trade and Distributor-led General Trade landscapes.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience in managing large, diverse teams and driving cultural change within a multinational framework.
  • A strategic thinker with the "grit" to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
