Job Summary
The Head of Investor Relations (IR) is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s investor communications and external financial reporting to effectively represent the company to the investment community. This role plays a key part in shaping the market’s perception of the company, strengthening investor confidence, and supporting the company’s valuation.The incumbent will report directly to the CFO and work closely with senior management, including the CEO and Board, to ensure transparency, consistency, and alignment in messaging to shareholders, analysts, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic IR Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy that aligns with the company’s vision, financial goals, and corporate strategy.
- Act as a key spokesperson and liaison for institutional investors, analysts, and other members of the financial community.
- Financial Communication
- Lead the preparation of quarterly earnings announcements, investor presentations, press releases, and the annual report.
- Collaborate with the CFO and finance team to ensure accuracy and clarity in financial disclosures, forecasts, and guidance.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional and retail investors, analysts, fund managers, rating agencies, and regulators.
- Organize and manage investor meetings, analyst briefings, roadshows, and investor days.
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, investor sentiment, peer performance, and analyst reports to provide strategic insights to the CFO and senior management.
- Track shareholding trends and provide analysis on shareholder composition and movements.
- Regulatory & Governance Compliance
- Ensure all investor communications and disclosures comply with Bursa Malaysia’s listing requirements and other regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with legal and company secretarial teams to ensure timely and accurate disclosure of material information.
- Reputation & Crisis Management
- Support the company’s corporate narrative and reputation by ensuring consistent messaging during market events, corporate actions, or crises.
- Assist with media and public relations related to financial performance and capital markets.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Communications, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CFA) are an advantage.
- At least 8–12 years of relevant experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or equity research, preferably in a public listed company or within the healthcare sector.
- In-depth understanding of capital markets, financial statements, valuation, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior leadership, institutional investors, and analysts.
- Experience with ESG reporting, sustainability disclosures, and stakeholder communication is a plus.
