Design Engineer – Utility, Transmission & BESS

This role is all about using your technical skills to support business development and project execution—from design to delivery. You’ll help ensure our engineering work is solid, smart, and compliant.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Learn how to design transmission systems and BESS for utility-scale projects.
• Support the team by preparing or reviewing technical proposals, drawings, and calculations (like cable sizing
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities to meet technical requirements and approvals.
• Join site surveys, prepare feasibility studies, and provide tech advice during installations.
• Help with tender submissions, costings, and preparing datasheets and BOQs.
• Review vendor/contractor proposals and give feedback based on local and international standards.
• Be involved in testing, commissioning, and quality control processes.
• Support procurement by evaluating specs and helping select the right materials and vendors.
• Collaborate with other teams to keep improving our designs and solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical transmission systems or grid interconnection.
• Comfortable reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Able to interpret technical requirements and turn them into real design work.
• Basic skills in MS Office and PDF tools.
• Familiar with AutoCAD (bonus if you’ve used ETAP or other PSS tools).
• Mostly office-based (90%), but you might be asked to support on-site (10%) when needed.
