Assistant Professor (DS13) - Department of Mechatronics Engineering

• Possess a PhD or equivalent in relevant field (Mechatronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) from University recognized by the Government.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in relevant field from University recognized by the Government
• Registered with BEM as Graduate Engineer.
• Possess excellent written and oral communications skills.

• Ability to inspire students with your passion.
• Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to work long hours.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.

• Having a Malaysian Professional Engineer or equivalent qualification with the Board of Engineers Malaysia will be

• Good publication track record would be advantageous.

Language Qualifications

All candidates must have obtained:

• Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian citizens)./
• IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4.

• Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
• Developing curricula and course material that can be used across a number of platforms.
• Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge base.
• Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams.
• Conducting research, and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
• Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside of the institution.
• Participating in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
• Providing support to students and other colleagues.
• Staying current by reading widely and producing published work in the field.
