Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager based in Subang Jaya. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects across Company’s solution portfolio, including IT infrastructure deployments, in-house products and support & maintenance contracts.

The role ensures projects run smoothly, meet customer expectations, and are completed within scope, timeline, and budget. Additionally, the role requires leadership in issues resolution, continuous improvement, and guiding project teams to achieve successful and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery
  • Manage the full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and risk/issue logs.
  • Deliver projects involving IT infrastructure, product implementations, and support engagements.
  • Oversee UAT, acceptance testing, documentation, and handover activities.
  • Manage project payment milestones and ensure milestone readiness for billing.
  1. Stakeholder & Team Coordination
  • Maintain proper communication channels, ensuring updates, escalations, and decisions flow.
  • Coordinate resources across engineering, product teams, operations, and vendors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers.
  • Conduct progress updates, expectation-setting sessions, and issue resolution discussions.
  • Escalate risks and blockers early and coordinate resolution.
  1. Support Contract Management
  • Coordinate onboarding for new support customers (assets, SLA setup, communication channels).
  • Work closely with the support team to track SLA compliance and support escalations.
  • Prepare and conduct support performance reviews.
  • Manage adjustments and scope documentation.
  1. Presales & Tender Participation
  • Work with presales teams during solution design, RFP/tender responses, and early customer engagements.
  • Provide feasibility checks based on delivery experience (scope fit, effort, required resources).
  • Contribute to high-level planning, project scheduling, and deployment timelines.
  • Assist presales with estimation of delivery effort and cost components tied to project execution.
  1. Governance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate documentation: project plans, reports, risk registers, minutes, change requests, acceptance forms.
  • Ensure alignment with SOW, customer compliance requirements, and internal processes.
  • Drive proper change management and track all deviations from scope.
  1. Commercial & Administrative
  • Monitor project scope, budgets, resources, and commercial impacts.
  • Identify scope creep and assist in preparing variation orders or additional work quotations.
  • Provide milestone documents, timesheets, and delivery proof required for invoicing.
  • Ensure clean project closure with final documentation and sign-offs.
  1. Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including consultants, architects, and developers to drive successful execution.
  • Manage customer expectations, resolve issues proactively, and ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including project scoping, estimation, and proposal preparation.
  • Mentor and guide project teams on best practices and process improvements.
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 5 - 7 years' working experience in managing projects.
  • Preferably experience in systems integrator domain, with a proven track record in managing multiple projects, system integration, product deployment, or support operations.
  • Experience in managing projects in financial institutions, government & manufacturing is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent projects with structured planning.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • PRINCE2 or CAPM certifications are an added advantage.
Technical/Skills Requirement
  • Understanding of IT systems: compute, storage, virtualization, networking, cloud basics.
  • Familiarity with platform/software delivery (e.g., StackNode HCI, monitoring tools, API gateways).
  • Ability to interpret Scope of Works (SOWS), architecture diagrams, SLA terms, and deployment requirements.
  • Strong skills in planning, scheduling, risk management, and project documentation.
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Redmine, Jira, or similar free tools).
  • Capable of providing high-level technical and delivery input during presales stages.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and reporting skills
